Why do i need to design my website?
A carefully planned and designed website can help improve a corporate image, improve customer service and expand into new markets. It can also find new prospects and more visibility.

What type of contents do i need?
You need to plan the contents before you engage a web designing company or designer. Depending on the nature of your business, you may be a company selling service, which you want to focus on the services you provide and let the surfers/customers know the details of the services. If the nature of the business is selling products, you may want to list the many different products you sell. Do you want you content to be always current and updated? Thus the need for an interface for you to change or update the contents of your website easily, so you may consider designing a web portal, with administrative interface. Or if you would like to make use of the website to sell your products to your clients online, that is where eCommerce comes in.

How does people know about my website?
There are a few ways to let people know about your website, one way is to print it on the company's namecard, or any company's promotion and marketing material, be it a broucher or a t-shirt. Another way is to submit your website address to the search engines. Submiting to the search engine is a long process, depending on the popularity and contents of the website, it would take quite some time for an address to get listed. If listed, it may not be in the top 10 search position.

Where does my website resides?
Your website will resides in the space provided by the web hosting company's servers. The domain name will resides in the web hosting company's server as well, so when a use type in the address on the browser, it will send a request to the web servers and thus surf out the required contents.

Why don't i see changes after they have been made?
The web browser has a setting that keeps a copy of all the websites that you been to, thus increased the speed of your surfing experience by checking if the website has a saved copy on your computer(aka cache), if the cache is found to have a copy of the website it will not go out and request for a new copy. So if you need to see your newly updated changes, try refresh the website and bring down to size of the cache.
